Exploratory French

Today is our last day in Exploratory French. Oh, so sad.(triste) We had French food today in class. We tried strawberry and chocolate crepes. We also had a French cookie and brie cheese and crackers. Pictures are coming! They are now officially cultured! As I look back on this 9 weeks, I am pleased with what the students have learned about the culture of France and the language as well. They know the days of the week, the months of the year, the colors, the numbers, the weather,etc.... They can tell you when their birthday is and they know several greetings and expressions. The students had to complete a series of projects on Paris, French authors, house plans, a family tree, and a menu. They also made a Matisse collage after studying French artists. Each student had to present their project using some French. I am very proud of their progress. Tres bien!!
